Awards in composition provide a focus for student and experienced composers to explore their practice in a controlled environment. The courses are based around specific projects and form and take in both study of different styles of composition and different forms. Supervisors guide students towards submission of the required coursework through a carefully developed range of resources and all compositions are marked by VCM Principal Dr. Stewart Thompson.
