It is intended as a distinct award for those either not wishing to undertake or not yet ready for doctoral study but with an interest in sustained and in-depth study of current practise. This may include but not be limited to painting, sculpture, photography, music, poetry, architecture, theatre and dance or be multi-disciplinary. Media may be physical or digitally based. Research should be of a standard above that of the BA but not at that of doctorate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key features of the course<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Produce and develop your individual skills and interests to professional standard<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Extend your critical thinking skills through analysis of specialist media<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Study current and historical context of your selected art forms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Relevant to a wide range of careers across the arts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Candidates may exit at earlier points with either a PGCert or PGDip in Fine Arts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em><em>As an American-validated  degree at postgraduate level, this award prepares you to study further and would normally lead to a place on either a higher masters research degree or doctoral study.<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Entry requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Students for this qualification must already hold either a Bachelors degree in an appropriate subject or an equivalent diploma of at least 120 credit hours equivalent<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students at should have a knowledge of their field equivalent to graduate level before commencing study alongside the required pre-requisite qualifications.
