You\u2019ll&nbsp;undertake different tasks built around separate areas as well as combining the technical elements of music with history as preparation for the final exam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key features of the course<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Study a wide range of musical history and skills<\/li><li>Explore music through analysis, composition and contextual study<\/li><li>Create your own music with the help of specialist software&nbsp;<\/li><li>Relevant to a wide range of careers including music performance, teaching, composition, community music leadership, and musicologist.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>An independent qualification in its own right at UK RQF level 5 equivalence, this diploma grants credit towards the Bachelor of Music degree.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Entry requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students at any level of practical musical skill can take this qualification but before commencing study you should have a knowledge of music theory equivalent to UK A level, as the course begins at this level and progress to more advanced musical concepts and techniques. If you have not yet attained this level, you can take a variety of online courses such as the Diploma in Music to help develop your knowledge.
